World Asthma Day 2007 took place on Tuesday, May 1. More than 174 events and activities in at least 57 countries worldwide--the largest WAD ever--took place around the theme "You Can Control Your Asthma." The GINA Executive Committee chose this positive theme to emphasize that asthma control is the goal of treatment and can be achieved in the vast majority of asthma patients with proper management.
